Jérémy Pernet wins architecture award with Filstone project
Architect Jérémy Pernet’s project "Build in Solid Stone" with Filstone materials was the winner of the 2nd edition of the Archetype Prize, organized by the Order of Architects Northern Regional Section (OASRN).
The proposal won the N41º Research Master Prize, in a ceremony held on September 25, in Porto, with the presence of the Secretary of State and Economy, João Neves.
Jérémy Pernet competed for the Archetype Prize with the idea of building solid stone walls as a viable alternative to conventional systems, in which the stone is assumed only as a coating. In his proposal, the architect lists several advantages, from reducing the transformation chain to reducing costs and energy consumption for heating/cooling.
The 2nd edition of the Archetype Prize continues with the digital exposure of the proposals during the month of October. Until next November, the winning architect will work on product development with Filstone, to present it publicly at the next edition of Concreta - Feira de Construção, Reabilitação, Arquitetura e Design, which will be held in November 2021 at Exponor.
