Filstone develops a stone rosary to celebrate 100 years of the Parish of São Mamede
The Parish of São Mamede celebrated its 100th anniversary with the release of a rosary made of limestone, designed by Filstone. The rosary, produced in its entirety in the region, was presented on August 9th, in a symbolic ceremony that brought together the population of São Mamede, in the municipality of Batalha.
The beads of the rosary were made from the “Filstone Blue M” limestone, extracted from the Filstone quarry, which is characterized by a slight blue hue. The thread of the rosary, made manually by a local craftsmen, also carries a unique imprint, making each rosary an unrepeatable piece. The stone presents itself in a natural way, without finishing, the way it is extracted from nature.
The rosary has limited edition and it is for sale next to the parish church.
